Classroom Rules

1. Be respectful:

	Of others and of yourself.
	Of all instruments.
	Of materials in rehearsals & lessons.

2. Be prepared for each time we meet by having the following:

	Instrument & accessories for your instrument.
	Music & Lesson Book.
	Pencil (NO PENS!).
	Folder, for music, handouts and worksheets.
	Practice Chart (to be turned in once a week, no matter how much practice has taken place).

3. Be on time and in attendance for each class.

	Attend your scheduled lesson.
	Take initiative and make-up missed lessons.
	Attend band rehearsals.

4. Be a good band member and play or talk when you are asked to do so.

	Play when you are supposed to; rest when you are to be resting.
	Talk when you are asked to; be quiet during rehearsal.
	Play only your own instrument, never someone else's.

5. Do your best; go above and beyond.

	Help set-up chairs & stands if needed.
	Volunteer to maintain the music library.
	Ask for recess pass, to practice during recess.
	Practice more than the required amount.
	Purchase "Extra-Fun" music to play, for your own enjoyment.
	Tell younger students how great band is.
	Help a friend in need.
