After the wonderful assembly yesterday you may be wondering what you can do to help the soldiers we saw on the video and the rest of the troops overseas. Well, starting next week, you can help to make their holiday season a little brighter by donating holiday decorations, new or gently used holiday DVDs and CDs, and letters or cards to the soldiers. Boxes will be placed near the IPC rooms in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade hallway to collect these donations. Please take a minute this weekend and see if you have something that could make this holiday season a little better for someone who is thousands of miles from home. If you have any questions or want to help with this project see Mr. Williams or Mrs. Ross in room 213.

On Wednesday, November 18th, the North Allegheny Athletic Department will host a presentation entitled Sports Nutrition and Supplement Use for Student-Athletes. Our guest speaker is Mr. Frank Velasquez Jr., Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Club.  The presentation will be in the Baierl Center’s Ponce Room at 7:00pm.  It is free of charge.

This week’s Science Trivia Question is:   By accessing the NASA website, you can sign up to have your name carried to Mars on a microchip aboard a spacecraft to be launched in 2011.  What is the name of that spacecraft? Enter your guess in the can outside Room 219.  Because of the short week, this question will run through next week.

Group pictures will be taken for the year book on picture day too!!.  Please be prepared for interruptions…..
