Attention Parents: It's been a great first nine weeks, and I'm putting it to sleep this Thursday. Anything graded from Friday the 31st and beyond goes on the 2nd nine weeks.
Advanced Pre-Algebra will begin Chapter 5 after the break... our last chapter without calculators and very heavy with fraction operations.
Academic Pre-Algebra will begin Chapter 4 this Thursday. Their first task will be to memorize the first 25 prime numbers.

In science class this year, we have found, raised, and released several monarch butterfly caterpillars. There is a Power Point of our release day on my web page.

Book Bingo is due on Wednesday, November 4. It is the last grade for the 1st nine weeks. The final AR quiz for Marking Period 1 must be taken before students enter class on Wednesday. Book Bingo is a pass/fail grade, and is worth 10 points. A Bingo receives the full 10/10.
Book Bingo for the second marking period will begin on November 6. Students will receive new boards, and we will discuss the new categories - including the Student Recommendations page, which will be activated on my home page.
