CLASSROOM PROCEDURES

Be on Time for Class

If you are not in the room when the bell rings, you are late. (The presence of your books does not constitute your being on time?) If a teacher or administrator causes you to be late, he/she will give you a note. Ask for one! After a warning, detention will be assigned for unexcused lateness.
Be Prepared for Class

When you come in, have your binder, and appropriate materials for the day (i.e., binders, assignments, pen or pencils, notebook paper etc.)

You will have a login ID and a password that is used daily.
Daily Procedure

  1. You are expected to work until the end of the period.
  2. You are expected to complete your own work, cheating will not be tolerated and will result in a zero for that assignment. One detention will also be assigned.
  3. It is important to exit all programs and log off at the end of each class period.
Class Attendance

Present your admission slip on your first day back from an excused absence. Obtain prior permission for other absences from class. You are responsible for every class session.

When you return from an absence, place your admission slip on the front table to be signed. The beginning of class is NOT the time to get makeup work as this prevents starting class for others.

Unexcused absences will be handled according to school policy.
Grading and Makeup Work

Grades are based on the accumulation of points (class work, homework, tests, projects etc.). There will be many opportunities to acquire points.

Assignments turned in late are worth no more than half credit.

It is to your advantage to complete makeup work as soon as possible. One week is usually sufficient to schedule a makeup. Consideration will be given for extended absences.

All makeup work must be done in school under supervision.
