Letter Homework
Directions: Using a PENCIL,
Write capital and lower case letters on the line. Have your child show you how we make a "2 finger space" between letters. Encourage your child to use the correct grasp. If they need work on their grasp, a gripper may be sent home for them to use. The student will draw a picture that begins with the letter of the week in each box. Encourage your child to "write their word" below each picture. Your child may be using "scribble" writing or writing random letters or letters that connect with sounds. You can write the grown up words beneath the "kindergarten writing". Remember to refrain from telling your child how to spell the word. Encourage them to "write what they hear".
The sequence of letters/sounds taught are as follows:
a,m,t,s,i,f,d,r,o,g,l,p,u,c,b,n,x,k,v,e,w,j,h,y,q,z
