Ingomar Elementary Art

The Art facilities at Ingomar Elementary were updated in the last building renovations.  Our tables were designed to allow students lots of room to create.  The kiln room is located next door.   Its size and proximity are perfect for a curriculum rich in three dimensional work.

Every first through fifth grader receives 45 minutes of art instruction each week.  Every three weeks the student will receive an additional hour of art during the Integrated Arts time.  This hour rotates each week through art, music, or physical education.  Kindergarten students receive 30 minutes of art instruction each week.

Each year Ingomar Elementary has an Art/Curriculum Show one evening in the spring.  This year Ingomar Elementary's Art Show theme is "Faces, Spaces & Faraway Places."   We will do extensive work with portraiture, positive and negative space art and lots and lots of art from all those faraway place in the world.  This year's show was Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 6-8 pm.  We had a great time!
