SCIENCE HOMEWORK
Long-Term Assignments Extra Credit:  Watch for interesting science-related news to tell your class about.  Use magazines, newspapers, TV, public radio, or Internet sites for info.
Extra Credit:  Log on to your online text (see above link).  Print out any worksheet that is available for the section we're studying. 
Fri.  11/13

Finish coloring the cell parts we discussed in class:  cell wall, cell membrane, cytoplasm, and vacuole.  Read about these 4 parts in Ch. 2.4. 
Come to class with sharpened colored pencils.

Mon. Finish coloring the cell parts we discussed in class:  nucleus, nuclear pores, nucleolus, chromatin, and chloroplasts.  Read about these 4 parts in Ch. 2.4.

No HW!

Wed. Finish coloring the cell parts we discussed in class:  ribosomes, "ER", mitochondria, lysosome, and Golgi body.  Read about these 4 parts in Ch. 2.4. 
Come to class with sharpened colored pencils.
Start to bring in materials to begin making your Cell Model project on Friday.
Write a thank-you letter.

Bring in materials to begin making your Cell Model project tomorrow (Friday).         Check the Cell Model Directions sheet you were given in class for details.

Fri. 11/20

Today and Friday in class we'll be constructing a model of a cell. Bring in any additional materials you need.
Study for Ch. 2.4 Test on Cell Parts on Tuesday.  The test will consist of matching cell parts with their functions, and also labeling the parts on a cell diagram (you'll be given a list of the cell parts.)

Long-Term Assignments Accelerated Reader - The deadline for AR Tests for the 2nd marking period is January 15.  You need 15 points.
