¨     You Will Be Able To (YWBAT) define momentum, impulse, collision, elastic collision, inelastic collision, perfectly inelastic collision, and explosion.

¨     YWBAT calculate momentum given mass and velocity, or vice versa.

¨     YWBAT explain that impulse is any change in momentum.

¨     YWBAT calculate force required to bring about a given change in momentum in a given time interval, or vice versa.

¨     YWBAT explain that the law of conservation of momentum says that momentum before a collision = momentum after a collision.

¨     YWBAT explain the differences and similarities between elastic, inelastic, and perfectly inelastic collisions.

¨     YWBAT calculate the after-collision velocities of colliding bodies using conservation of momentum.

¨     YWBAT determine the velocity of a moving object if it changes its mass.

¨     YWBAT calculate the after collision velocities of colliding bodies involved in an inelastic or elastic collision using conservation of momentum and/or conservation of kinetic energy.

¨     YWBAT calculate the resultant velocity of two objects colliding in two dimensions.
