Abschlußprüfung – Oral Interview Portion

            Your German Final will consist of two portions. There will be a very brief, but important oral interview portion made up of five questions and a written portion containing multiple choice questions. In addition, there will be 4 short essay questions, given at the same time as the multiple choice section. The two portions will comprise your final exam grade, but will be given on two different days.

            Students will be reviewing independently in class during the teacher-student interviews. Students will be interviewed individually and called at random. In addition, the five questions that the student answers will be drawn at random by the student.

1)      Guten Tag! Wie geht’s?

2)      Wie spat ist es jetzt?

3)      Du und deine Freunde, was wollt ihr am Wochenende machen?

4)      Was mußt du zu Hause machen?

5)      Wie oft mußt du (das Geschirr spülen, den Rasen mähen, etc.)?

6)      Wie ist das Wetter heute? Und morgen?

7)      Wie ist das Wetter im Januar?

8)      Wo warst du gestern Abend?

9)      Wo warst du letztes Wochenende?

10)  Was ist dein Lieblingsfach?

Evaluation: Each answer to the 5 chosen questions will be evaluated as follows: “Ja” checks will be multiplied by 5. “Nein” checks receive no credit. (4 categories X 5 Points for “Ja” X 5 questions = 100 total points)

Understanding – Does student understand teacher’s question without assistance? Without the question being repeated or translated?
