German Letter Computer Codes
If you want to create the German letters not found on the keyboard, simply hold in the ALT key and type in the four digit code. This is how create these letters on a computer running Windows 3.1, 95, and 98.
ß = Alt + 0223
ä = Alt + 0228
Ö = Alt + 0214
ö = Alt + 0246
Ü = Alt + 0220
ü= Alt + 0252
For Mac, use the option key and the letter (either capital or lowercase). I’ m pretty sure that will work.
