Backpacking

2008

    Our first trip will be to Raccoon Creek State Park in September.

More soon.

    Dave Piatek, Suzanne Adams and Donna Wanner lead LTA campers through a variety of camping experiences. We offer Day hikes, overnights and extended trips. Trips may take you up North to Allegheny National Forest or as far south as Dolly Sods in West Virginia. Oil Creek is a favorite for winter camping, providing Adirondack style shelters as an alternative to tenting, during the winter months. Raccoon Creek State Park has updated their hiking trails, so we can stay close to home.

     In 2006 we headed north for the summer. We went along with the Bikers as they headed up to the home of the Great Manitou, Manitoulin Island. Check out the link here about the trail we hiked. We hiked the last 20 miles or so, from Gilles Lake to Tobermory.

Check this out Bruce trail .

Past trips include;

Hickory Creek Wilderness Area, in Allegheny National Forest.

Raccoon Creek State Park. This is a great hike through the remains of the old Frankfort Mineral Springs, maybe we'll spot some ghosts!
